Belgium: Gent confirm departure of Super Eagles defender

Belgian Pro League outfit, KAA Gent have confirmed the departure of their centre-back, Jordan Torunarigha.

Torunarigha’s contract will expire at the end of next month, and he has decided to start a new chapter in his career.

The centre-back joined the Buffaloes in 2022 from Bundesliga club, Hertha Berlin.

The 27-year-old made 145 appearances across all competitions for Gent.

Torunarigha won the Belgian Cup in his first season at the club.

He also became a Nigeria international during his time with the former Belgian Pro League champions.

The player has been linked with a return to Germany.
